Teachers of the Department of International Private Law of Tashkent State University of Law completed an internship at the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT), an independent international organization located in Rome, Italy.
At the meetings, the representatives of TSUL and UNIDROIT, issues of legal regulation of digital assets, smart contracts, artificial intelligence, e-commerce and the application of laws in these areas were discussed.
The UNIDROIT principles on digital assets, adopted in May 2023, and further prospects for their implementation in the legal regulation of digital assets in the Republic of Uzbekistan were also studied.
For information: the purpose of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law is to study the needs and methods for modernizing, harmonizing and coordinating private and commercial law in relations between states, as well as developing uniform legal documents, principles and norms to achieve these goals.
