Our mssion
We strive to become one of the most prestigious schools in the world, where leading scientists work in the field of private international law and train future representatives of the field of international level. We also create and use training materials that meet international standards of private international law and related modules.
Our tasks
The Department of Private International Law performs a
number of tasks:
- studies the experience of developed countries in the
field of private international law;
- develops students ' comparative, analytical and
logical thinking skills in the subjects taught;
- develops students ' skills in the practical application
of the norms of private international law;
- establishes cooperation in the field of private international law with the most prestigious international schools that specialize in private international law.

Our scientific potential
At the department, A. Ergashev conducts research on the
topic "Improving the legal regulation of the reorganization and
liquidation of legal entities in private international law" for a doctoral
dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in legal sciences, Sh.
Ishmetova-on the topic "Legal regulation of the international division of
labor in the framework of international trade relations" for a doctoral
dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in legal sciences, M.
Turdialiev-on the topic "Problems of creating international financial
centers as a type of free economic zones and the introduction of English
law" for a doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in
legal sciences, A. Akramov - on the topic" Civil law regulation of trust
management in inheritance law " for a doctoral dissertation for the degree
of Doctor of Philosophy in legal sciences.
On November 11, 2020, A. Yakubov defended his doctoral
dissertation (PhD) of the Doctor of Philosophy in Legal Sciences on the topic
"Improving the legal regulation of foreign trade relations".
Today, the department employs three professors and
teachers with the degree of Doctor of Law (S. Gulyamov, I. Rustambekov, N.
Rakhmankulova), two candidates of Law (O. Narziev, N. Imamova), 7 teachers who
graduated from foreign universities.
Also at the department there are two professors (S.
Gulyamov, I. Rustambekov) and two associate professors (O. Narziev, N.
Imamova).
In 2020-2021, teachers of the department published 5
articles in the journals WoS and Scopus,
10 articles in the journals of the Higher
Attestation Commission, 15 articles in foreign journals.
2 articles of professors and teachers of the
department have been published in foreign journals and collections of
international conferences.
In addition, in 2020-2021, the department published 4
monographs, 30 scientific articles, and 5 articles in "Scopus". Also during these years, 1 international, 5
republican scientific conferences and round tables were held.
Our programs and projects
Under the guidance of Doctor of Law, Professor I.
Rustambekov, cooperation is being conducted under the grant of the Organization
for Security and Co-operation in Europe in the amount of 200,000 euros.
Project topic: Promoting the development of international
private law and property rights in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Implementation
period: 24 months (2020-2021).
A practical project under the leadership of I.
Rustambekov "Current trends in improving the regulatory framework and
activities of international commercial arbitration in the Republic of
Uzbekistan" for 2018-2020 is also being implemented.
The project consists of the project plans "
Improvement of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Uzbekistan
(Mediation)" and "Introduction of legal technologies in law
enforcement practice".
The department has the
following scientific circles:
"Young scientists of private international
law". The circle is aimed at involving students in scientific and
innovative activities, supporting talented young people who are passionate
about research. The number of members of the circle is 30 people. The group in

Scientific circle for the preparation of the
competition of foreign direct investment (FDI). The main goal of the circle is
to prepare students to participate in the FDI Moot competition and improve
their knowledge and skills to win one of the prizes in this competition. The
number of members of the circle is 8 people.
Scientific Circle on the International arbitration
competition (vis moot) named after VILLEM S. VIS. The goal of the club is to
prepare students to participate in VIS MOOT and win prizes in this competition.

Teaching staff
Our teachers constantly work on themselves, improve
their skills and knowledge, and exchange experience with foreign colleagues.
Today, the department has 2 professors and 2 senior
teachers. We regularly hold master classes with the participation of
specialists in this field and leading scientists from around the world.
The teachers of the department are the authors of 6
textbooks, 4 monographs and 12 textbooks.
Also, 5 independent researchers take part in the
educational process.
