Botirjon Kosimov undergoes a research fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley

Botirjon Kosimov, acting associate professor of the department of constitutional law at Tashkent State University of Law, Doctor of Philosophy in Law (PhD), is doing a three-month research fellowship at the University of California Berkeley School of Law and the Institute for Judicial Studies at the University.

Botirjon Kosimov is researching the constitutional and legal framework for judicial independence in the U.S. Specifically, as part of his research, he studies the doctrine of judicial independence, the relationship between judicial independence and judicial responsibility, the origins of obstacles to judicial independence, the constitutional basis for judicial independence, the mechanism for bringing judges to disciplinary responsibility, and the digitalization of the courts and its role in ensuring judicial independence.

At the end of the research internship, Botirjon Kosimov plans to make a presentation on the results of his research at the UCLA School of Law.
