An article titled "The Impact of Digitalization in Inheritance Law," authored by teachers of the Department of International Private Law at Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL), has been indexed in the Scopus Q1 journal.
This article was developed as part of the PhD dissertation of Akmaljon Akramov, a senior lecturer at the department and an independent researcher at TSUL. The dissertation addresses the challenges and opportunities that arise in regulating digital assets and the fiduciary management of digital assets. As individuals increasingly own valuable digital assets, such as cryptocurrencies, social media accounts, and intellectual property on the internet, they find it difficult to manage related issues using the traditional inheritance system. This research employs a comparative interdisciplinary approach that combines classical inheritance doctrines, contemporary theories of digital assets, and principles related to fiduciary management.
The article analyzes specific legal issues associated with the inheritance of digital property and presents modern legal solutions.
