As you know, on June 27, in honor of Press and Mass Media Workers’ Day, a nationwide “Media Week” was held in Uzbekistan. As part of this week, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Tashkent State University of Law and the National Media Association of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting organized on this occasion, participants discussed modern solutions to legal issues arising in the media sphere, the importance of a deeper understanding of legislation in journalistic activities, and ways to further expand the opportunities of the legal clinic.
Participants were also informed about the content and essence of the memorandum.
As noted, the document was signed to increase the legal literacy of journalists and media professionals working in Uzbekistan’s information space, provide legal advice and practical assistance, and support scientific and practical events and projects. According to the memorandum, a system will now be established for the TSUL Legal Clinic to provide legal and practical services to TV channels and mass media outlets that are members of the National Media Association of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, it was agreed to strengthen the close cooperation between the fields of law and mass media and to continue joint efforts to promote legal culture and the rule of law.
