International cooperation of TSUL continues to expand
A delegation from Istanbul Aydın University visited Tashkent State University of Law
The meeting, organized to mark this occasion, was attended by the Acting Rector of TSUL, Doctor of Law, Professor Islambek Rustambekov; Dean of the Faculty of International Law and Comparative Legal Studies, Professor Dildora Umarkhonova; Head of the Department of Cyber Law, Professor Said Gulyamov; Head of the Department of International Relations, Bobur Uzakov; as well as the President of Istanbul Aydın University and EURAS, Mustafa Aydın; his advisor, Irem Arman; EURAS Coordinator, Sabina Huseynova; and a representative of Istanbul Aydın University in Uzbekistan, Vasliddin Saidov.
During the event, the prospects for long-term collaboration between these two leading higher educational institutions were discussed. Topics included the implementation of academic mobility programs, the organization of joint summer and winter schools, scientific events such as conferences and round table discussions, participation in ERASMUS programs, and the launch of startups and projects in the field of cyber law.
The negotiations resulted in a decision to sign a tripartite memorandum of understanding between TSUL, Istanbul Aydın University, and Cyprus University. The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation, establish exchange programs for faculty development and experience sharing, create intensive educational programs on modern legal sciences—including international and cyber law—for students, and organize joint events with experts from various countries to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the legal field.
Additionally, it was decided to submit joint grant applications to ERASMUS to expand educational opportunities and international academic mobility, as well as to implement collaborative innovative initiatives aimed at developing the legal aspects of cybersecurity and digital technologies.
Moreover, discussions were held about the membership of TSUL in EURAS (Eurasian Universities Union), one of the leading international associations of higher education institutions, and an agreement was reached to continue cooperation in this direction.
