The article titled "Economic Sanctions: How to Make International Trade a Legal Right Instead of a Privilege", written by Kirill Molodyko, Associate Professor of the Department of International Law and Human Rights at Tashkent State Law University, has been indexed in Scopus Q2.
The article examines various aspects of unilateral coercive measures (sanctions), which are widely used in practice by developed countries, and substantiates their negative impact on international trade and the overall economy of developing countries. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the annual reports of the UN Special Rapporteur on Unilateral Sanctions for 2015-2023, as well as the positions taken by specific states when voting on sanctions issues in the UN General Assembly and the Human Rights Council (UN). A number of practical measures are proposed to counter the expansion of sanctions in international trade.
