The “China — Central Asia” Forum on the exchange of legal culture and mutual learning was held in Urumqi at the initiative of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the China University of Political Science and Law.
The event brought together representatives of law universities from Central Asian countries and 15 leading universities of China. Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) was represented by Bekzod Musayev, Dean of the Faculty of Private Law; Amanulla Mukhamedzhanov, Professor of the Department of International Law and Human Rights; Viktoria Solieva, Head of the Department for International Grants; and Aygerim Aripbayeva, Methodologist of the Legal Clinic.
During the conference held as part of the forum, A. Mukhamedzhanov delivered a presentation on the topic “Modern Issues of Legal Education in the Context of Digital Technology Development.” Following the event, the China — Central Asia Legal Education Alliance was established to promote academic exchange and joint research.
As part of the international forum, the representatives of TSUL visited the Legal Zone of the Silk Road Economic Belt, where they learned about the activities of modern legal institutions contributing to international cooperation and investment attraction, as well as the work of Yingke Law Firm, one of China’s leading law firms with over 100 branches and more than 12,000 lawyers.
The participation of the TSUL delegation in this forum became an important step in strengthening cooperation between law universities of China and Central Asia, exchanging experience, and developing a joint academic and research platform.
