Current issues in combating economic crimes have been discussed

A scientific and practical conference on "Current Issues in Combating Economic Crimes" was held at the Tashkent State University of Law.

The conference, organized by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminology, and Anti-Corruption in collaboration with the international law firm "PraeLegal" and Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov, was attended by foreign experts, specialists from the "PraeLegal" law firm, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office, professors from the University of Public Security, the Academy of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, TSUL, young scientists, and students.

The conference addressed current challenges in combating economic crimes in the digital age, their legal standards, and modern challenges, as well as issues of improving criminal legislation, developing effective strategies, and exchanging experiences.

Experts noted that reforming existing legislation is a complex and continuous process. In particular, further improvement of legislation in this area should be carried out taking into account the results of the analysis of existing legislation and law enforcement practice, as well as international experience.

At the international scientific and practical conference, experts discussed aspects that require special attention when developing a draft separate law providing for the introduction of a unified practice in the field of combating cybercrime.
