“LAW SCHOOL” APP
Reference Note about “Law School” App
On May 24, 2024, under Presidential Decree No. PF-80, “On Increasing the Responsibility of Justice Bodies and Institutions and Forming a Streamlined Management System Within the Framework of Administrative Reforms”, the government mandated the establishment of an online legal literacy school to enhance young people’s legal knowledge. This initiative, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Justice and Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL), has led to the development of a mobile application called “Huquq Maktabi” (Law School). The app is designed to improve the legal awareness and culture of citizens by offering free online legal courses. The app includes numerous courses on relevant topics, featuring video lectures, presentations, and slides. After completing the courses, users can take specialized tests to assess their knowledge and receive a certificate of completion. The course topics are tailored to address common issues raised by the public in applications and complaints to state authorities, covering areas such as social protection, access to courts, family law, labour relations, housing, and utilities. This targeted approach aims to increase the app’s relevance and accessibility, making it beneficial for society and likely to become popular quickly. The “Huquq Maktabi” app is expected to foster respect for the law among youth, elevate legal awareness and culture in society, and contribute to resolving various social and legal issues within the community. |
