Cooperation directions were discussed with the representatives of the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg

A delegation of the St. Petersburg branch of the Higher School of Economics visited Tashkent State University of Law.

Dilshod Umarov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Further Education, Dildora Umarkhanova, Dean of the International Law and Comparative Legislation Faculty, Bobur Uzakov, specialist of the International Cooperation Department, Anton Ilyin, Dean of the Law Department of the Higher School of Economics in Saint-Petersburg, Irina Schemeleva, Dean of the Saint-Petersburg School of Humanities and Arts of the Higher School of Economics in Saint-Petersburg and Yuri Ichkitidze, associate professor of the Higher School of Economics in Saint-Petersburg participated in the meeting organized in connection with this event.

At the beginning of the event, representatives of the two universities spoke about the activities of their institutions.

In particular, Dilshod Umarov, Vice-Rector of Tashkent State University of Law, provided information on the history of the university, admission system, educational process, implemented dual degree programs, as well as conditions created for foreign students.

At the meeting, the sides discussed directions of interaction between the two universities on issues of education and science.

The parties considered issues of implementation of a student exchange program, teachers' training, joint student projects, scientific conferences, inviting professors of the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg to the editorial boards of TSUL scientific journals, as well as their involvement in work on new generation textbooks.

It was noted that TSUL and the World Intellectual Property Organization are discussing the creation of a joint chair, as well as the University is actively working on the development of the Laboratory "Legal Tech". The guests shared their opinions on the work done and pointed out that it is necessary to study the experience of TSUL in this direction.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation of the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg invited the leaders of the Tashkent State University of Law to the International week of partnership, which will be conducted in Moscow.
