VOCATIONAL TRAINING EVENTS (LIFELONG LEARNING)

Retraining courses for legal specialization of professionals with higher education aimed to provide a sufficient level of knowledge and skills to operate in the legal services of state bodies and other organizations.

Reception of the listeners for courses is carried out on the basis of the amount determined by the Kengash of Tashkent State University of Law.

Interview is held to know knowledge of listeners in the field of international private and public law and also to determine the level of English proficiency. 

In accordance with the Appendix to the Regulation approved by the Government, professionals with higher education in only 79 directions can study at the retraining courses for legal specialization.

Reception of applicants is carried out according to the results of entrance exams held in the form of interview.

Entrance examinations are taken to determine following:

1.    the justification of the choice of legal profession;

2.    basic legal knowledge;

3.    analytical thinking.

During the exam, an applicants will choose a card involving some questions. The applicants will be given 20 minutes to prepare. 

The courses will be organized for six month on 26 week programs. Courses are taught by qualified pedagogues, law enforcement officials, lawyers and other professionals. The following types of training sessions are used in the learning process: lectures and seminars.

In addition to these, in the learning process, some extra training sessions such as clinical tution, imitation of court process (moot court), and traveling lessons are widely used.

The person who has completed the retraining courses for legal specialization and obtained a diploma, have the right to work in the legal services of state bodies and other organizations.

 COURSES OF RETRAINING AND IMPROVEMENT QUALIFICATION of pedagogical staffs

In the Center, there are 288-hours courses of retraining and improvement qualification for pedagogical staff teaching in higher education institutions in law in "Jurisprudence" and "Legal science", as well as 144-hours courses of improvement qualification for secondary-specialized teachers in law in "Lawyer".

These courses aimed at continuously updating the professional skills, and abilities of pedagogical staff as well as improving the quality of training based on modern requirements.

The course is conducted in accordance with the curriculum.

On the courses of retraining and improvement qualification in "Jurisprudence" and "Legal science", teaching process are conducted in 12 modules as theoretical, practical and travel lessons.

Moreover, the rating of listeners is evaluated in the system of 100 points, which is formed of:

Assignment tasks - 15 points;

Portfolio - 10 points;

Pedagogical practice - 5 points;

Final test - 50 points;

Final Attestation - 20 points.

Listeners who have accumulated enough points in the assignment tasks, portfolio, pedagogical practice and final test will have a right to defend their graduation paper at the final attestation of the Attestation Commission under Tashkent State University of Law, consisting of 11 members. Listeners who receive at least 56% of the final scores will receive a certificate of successful completion of the course.   


On the courses of improvement qualification in "Lawyer", teaching process is conducted in 13 modules as theoretical, practical and travel lessons.

At the end of the course, listeners who defend their graduation paper successfully will be given a certificate about improvement qualification.

Events

Graduates of training courses for professional mediators were awarded certificates

The training courses for professional mediators, organized at the Professional Training Center at TSUL, have ended.

In the 40-hour courses, classes were conducted both offline and online.

59 graduates who successfully completed the course were awarded state certificates.

For reference: graduates who successfully complete the course and receive a special certificate will be included in the register of professional mediators and will be entitled to engage in independent mediation.
