EDUCATION OUTREACH ACTIVITIES BEYOND CAMPUS (in local schools, in the community, including voluntary student-run schemes)

Street Law held an online meeting with 1,000 school principals

An online meeting on the Street Law project was held at the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Public Education, the Ministry of Justice, and Tashkent State University of Law.

The event, held through the ZOOM platform, was attended by 1,000 school principals in the country. The dialogue was also streamed live on Facebook.

Botirjon Qosimov, Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at Tashkent State Law University, spoke about the purpose of the project, its history and current status in the country, and the benefits of the project for schools and students.

Kamilla Dalabaeva, assistant project coordinator, and Shokhrukh Zhuraev, an active project volunteer, also spoke about the steps that schools need to take to make project lessons in schools effective.

The online meeting helps to raise awareness about the Street Law project in schools, increase interest in the project, and promote the initiative of schools to implement the project in schools.

131 schools, 8,090 pupils were included in the "Street Law" project

In the academic year, 2020-2021 TSUL and law colleges conducted several Street Law project activities. 

In the 2020-2021 academic year, 555 students and volunteers, and 86 professors and teachers participated in the Street Law project. The project was implemented in 131 schools, with 8,090 pupils participating in the classes. 

This project is the result of mutual understanding and support of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Public Education, the administration of Tashkent State University of Law, and the Legal Clinic of Tashkent State University of Law, project coordinators, students, and volunteers, professors and teachers.

The project will also continue in the next academic year.

At the initiative of the Faculty of Master's program and Extramural Education organized the field day among the students of schools in Sergeli district

Pupils of the school's No. 322, 349, 350, 351, 352, 53 of Sergeli district, attached to the Faculty of Master's program and Extramural Education, take part in the games in 4 kinds of sport.

Competitions on mini-football and chess were conducted and winners and prize-winners were recorded as follows:
In mini-football competition:
1st place - the team of school No 322;
2nd place - a team of school  No 353;
3rd place - a team of school No 349;

In the chess competition:
Among boys:
1st place - K.Shukurov, student of school No 350;
2nd place - D. Abdurashidov, a pupil of school No 351;
3rd place - A. Shukurov, a pupil of school No 350;

Among girls:
1st place - R.Normakhmatova, student of school No 351;
2nd place - S. Ernazarova, a pupil of school No 322;
3rd place - G. Ashirova, a pupil of school no 350;

Winners were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.

Now within the framework of the Spartakiad includes competitions in table tennis and checkers.

Teachers, professors, staff members, and students at Tashkent State University of Law actively engage in social events, interact in the community, and promote legal literacy.

The "Targ‘ibot poyezdi" initiative was carried out by Tashkent State Law University under the motto "Men befarq emasman" in an effort to further raise the level of legal literacy among the populace, particularly among young people, as well as their knowledge and expertise on the referendum. 100 university students and 14 faculty members attended the seminars, which included hands-on training in organizing legal advocacy events from constitutional commission members, academic experts, and seasoned activists. Promotional organizations made up of teachers conducted numerous promotional activities in 14 parts of our nation, including the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent City, and 12 other regions.

In order to increase the population's legal literacy, particularly among young people, advocacy groups visited more than 70 higher and professional educational institutions, more than 50 businesses and organizations, more than 30 residential addresses, military bases, and recreation parks across our nation.

The participants in various gatherings and events were informed about the fundamentals of the constitutional reforms carried out in our nation, the changes made in the newly revised Constitution with regard to education and science, the innovations made with regard to supporting youth, ensuring the rights of women and children, and various other fields. The new regulations aimed at development were explained in great detail.

Additionally, a number of competitions and examinations were performed to gauge the participants' legal literacy, and the winners and prizewinners received mementos, novels, and legal books.

In other words, the "Targ‘ibot poyezdi" operation will improve the population's legal literacy, particularly among young people, and will broaden their understanding of the Referendum. strengthened.

Additionally, TSUL teachers have been engaging in foreign higher education institutions and international organizations, sharing their experiences through talks.

Kazan Federal University in the Russian Federation was visited by professors and instructors from Tashkent State Law University's Department of State and Legal Theory. For the university's law faculty students, training sessions were planned as part of the visit.

A lecture on "Social relations and law" was presented by the State and Law Theory Department's M. Sadikov, Sh. Hayitov, A. Khojanazarov, and A. Sodikov, all of whom are associate professors in the department of constitutional law. During the trainings, questions from university students on the subject were addressed using interactive techniques.

The world conference "Justice Education: Building Resilience and Strong Connections in Times of Global Challenges" was organized at Stellenbosch University of the Republic of South Africa. At the international conference organized on the occasion of 11th anniversary of Global Alliance for Justice Education and the 20th anniversary of International Journal of Clinical Legal Education Otabek Narziev, the acting professor of International Private Law department of Tashkent State University of Law and the head of the Legal Clinic of the University, participated in it. Narziev made a report "Free Legal Aid, Pro Bono Activity and Clinical Legal Education in the Experience of TSUL Legal Clinic" and informed conference participants about 22 years experience of Pro Bono, clinical legal education in Uzbekistan and in particular at Tashkent State University of Law.

During the conference, Otabek Narziev met with representatives of Stellenbosch University in South Africa and Monash University in Australia and discussed the establishment of cooperation between these institutions of higher education and TSUL.

Teachers from the Tashkent State University of Law were given a letter of appreciation from the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for their work in the group of information and analytical experts under the Constitutional Commission on the development of the new Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
