The international scientific-practical conference "Lessons of Abdumajidov" was held at Tashkent State University of Law
The conference, organized by the Department of Criminal Procedure of the Faculty of Criminal Justice of Tashkent State University of Law, was attended by faculty members of Tashkent State University of Law, the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, The University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Samarkand International Technological University, Kazakh State University of Law named after M. S. Narikbayev, Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, Batumi State University and representatives of the Anticorruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the event, I was informed about the fruitful labor activity of scientists of the Republic of Uzbekistan, doctor of law, professor Gafur Abdumazhidov, his scientific school, contribution to science, and life way.
The second part of the conference, there were discussed the topical issues highlighted in the scientific works of Abdumajidov, as well as changes and reforms in the criminal process in connection with the adoption of the new Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, strengthening the protection of the rights and freedoms of the individual in the activities of investigative and judicial authorities, providing the accused (suspects, defendants) the right to defense, the specifics of legal aid to the victim. The issues of improving the investigative activities in conditions of strengthening the guarantees of the protection of the rights and freedoms of the individual were discussed.
