Problems of legal regulation of intellectual property were discussed

At the initiative of the Department of International Law and Human Rights, Department of Intellectual Property of Tashkent State University of Law, an international scientific and practical conference was organized on the topic “Problems of legal regulation of intellectual property”.

The conference, organized in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of Intellectual Property in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022 - 2026 in connection with International Intellectual Property Day, was attended by representatives of the Chamber for the Protection of Copyright of Artists, Creative Workers and Performers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Patent Attorneys, law firm "Legalmax", teachers from Brunel University London (UK), Regent's Park College of Oxford University, Karaganda University named after A. Buketov, Tashkent State University of Law, as well as foreign experts.

At the international conference, a new edition of the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan was discussed, and views were exchanged on issues of copyright infringement on the Internet, problems of regulating parallel imports, the constitutional and legal foundations of intellectual property, and violation of intellectual rights in markets.
