TSUL Rector Joins International Association Representing University Leaders from Nearly 100 Countries
Rector of Tashkent State University of Law, Doctor of Law and Professor Bakhshillo Khodjaev, has been admitted to the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), a prestigious international organization.
IAUP is a global academic network bringing together presidents, rectors and other leaders of higher education institutions from nearly 100 countries. Established in 1965, the Association promotes international academic cooperation, enhances the quality of education, facilitates the exchange of best practices in university governance and advances academic leadership.
IAUP's international standing is further reflected in its cooperation with United Nations bodies. In particular, the Association holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and maintains official consultative relations with UNESCO. In addition, IAUP is a full member of the Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO).
Membership in the Association opens up opportunities to establish direct professional contacts with leaders of leading universities worldwide, participate in prestigious international conferences, academic leadership forums and strategic dialogues. It also provides access to international best practices in university governance and educational quality enhancement, facilitates the development of new joint projects with foreign universities, and enables participation in global higher education initiatives under the auspices of the United Nations, UNESCO and other international organizations.
The admission of Professor Bakhshillo Khodjaev to IAUP marks an important step towards expanding Tashkent State University of Law's presence on the international academic stage, strengthening global cooperation and further enhancing the University's international reputation.
