Ahtam Nusratilloevich Yakubov
Since February 14, 2025, he has been serving as the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Further Education at Tashkent State University of Law.
Ahtam Yakubov was born in 1985 in the city of Karshi, located in the Kashkadarya region. He holds a higher education degree. In 2007, he completed his bachelor’s studies at Samarkand State University, and in 2011, he earned his master’s degree from Tashkent State Institute of Law.
He holds a Doctor of Law (DSc) degree and the academic title of Associate Professor. He also holds the rank of 3rd Class Legal Advisor and is a practicing lawyer, arbitrator, and mediator.
Between 2008 and 2022, his professional career spanned the legal services and advocacy sectors. He also worked as a lecturer at Tashkent State University of Law, where he held positions such as Senior Lecturer, Secretary of the University Council, and Director of the Center for Professional Legal Training in line with international standards. From 2022 to 2025, he successfully served as the Rector of Karshi International University.
Ahtam Yakubov is recognized as one of the leading scholars in Uzbekistan in the fields of private international law, international commercial law, and alternative dispute resolution methods — including mediation and international commercial arbitration. He has studied and exchanged experience in these areas at leading universities and centers in the United States, Japan, Singapore, Austria, and other countries.
Throughout his professional and academic career, he has published around 100 research and educational works, including textbooks, monographs, articles, and dissertations in both domestic and prestigious international journals.
As an experienced expert in his field, he actively contributes to the legislative process in Uzbekistan, initiates reforms in legal education, and works to enhance the legal awareness and culture of the population using modern approaches.
He has earned the deep respect of his colleagues thanks to his creative, analytical, and critical thinking skills, broad modern outlook, initiative, and strong leadership abilities, all of which are reflected in his ability to effectively lead teams.
He has been awarded commemorative medals, including the “30 Years of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan” medal and the “30 Years of the Constitution of Uzbekistan” medal.
