Hakimov Rahim Rasuljonovich

Rector of Tashkent State University of Law

Khakimov Rahim Rasuljanovich  was born in 1983 in Namangan district. He graduated from Namangan State University in 2003 and the Tashkent State Institute of LAw in 2005. Lawyer, Doctor of Law, Professor.

He began his career in 2005 as a Leading researcher at the Institute for Monitoring of Current Legislation under the President of the Republic Of Uzbekistan, where he worked as a Chief research officer (CRO), Team leader, Head of department.

He worked as an associate Professor at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tax Academy.

In 2015, he was elected a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

From 2015 to 2017 he was a member of the Defense and Security of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, from 2017 he was the director of the Institute for Legislative Problems and Parliamentary Research under the Oliy Majlis (on a public basis), from 2018 he operated as a chairman of the Defense and Security Committee.

He has published 3 monographs, 24 scientific and practical manuals and more than 200 articles on "Improvement of lawmaking and law enforcement practice", "Parliament in the system of state power: problems of theory and practice", "Improvement of legal mechanisms to ensure a balance between the branches of government", "Constitutional Reforms".

He has taken a number of initiatives to prepare draft Laws to improve the socio-political reforms in the Country, the system of state and society building, parliamentary activities, law-making process.

On September 19, 2019, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Rector of Tashkent State University of Law.

Since May 28, 2020, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 336, he has been the Rector of Tashkent State University of Law.
