Department Civil Law

General information

The department Private law started its activities in new areas according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from June 28, 2013 PP-1990 "On measures to further improve the legal system of training" as well as the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from April 29, 2017 PP-2932 "On measures to fundamentally improve the system and increase the efficiency of staff training at the Tashkent State Law University". The objectives of the department, along with work on the training and educational, spiritual, educational, scientific and methodical areas is also to provide students with knowledge about subjects "Civil Law", "Housing Law", "Family Law"; the skills of logical and analytical thinking in the study of these disciplines; develop students' skills of independent work; familiarization with laws and regulations; assisting students in self education.

 

Education

Teachers of the department conduct lecture and seminar classes from the subjects like "Civil law", "Family law" and "Housing law". The above listed subjects are fully equipped with all academic disciplines and textbooks. All textbooks and educational disciplines of the department are being systematically updated at the Information resources center and the electronic library of the university

The requirements of the new generation of textbooks and educational disciplines were prepared based on the general requirements of the the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from June 28, 2013 PP-1990 "On measures to further improve the legal system of training" and the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from April 29, 2017 PP-2932 "On measures to fundamentally improve the system and increase the efficiency of staff training at the Tashkent State Law University".

The department constantly conducts master classes by attracting qualified specialists from the staff of the judiciary, law enforcement bodies, non-governmental and non-profit organizations and other universities.

In 2015-2016 academic year 26 students successfully defended their final qualification works at the department, as well as 14 master's students defended their master's dissertations.

In 2016-2017 academic year 16 students successfully defended their final qualification works and 13 master students with their master's thesis.

Scientific and scientific–methodical affairs

Scientific potential of the department is 50%, including 2 doctors of science and 2 candidates of sciences. Currently more than 10 independent researchers are conducting their scientific work at the department.

The circle "Civilist" was created in execution of the order of Ministry of higher and secondary specialized education of the Republic of Uzbekistan  № 237 of August 8, 2008. The circle is attached by 60 gifted students and undergraduates, who lead the research on topical issues of civil law.

In order to improve the current legislation the department is cooperating with the organizations like Ministry of Justice,  the Supreme Court, The General Prosecutor, the Judicial Training Center under the Ministry of Justice, as well as other law enforcement bodies and higher educational institutions.

Spiritual and academic affairs

Pedagogical staff of “Private law” department gives lectures in many enterprises, the organizations and establishments according to the established plan of work for various spiritual and moral, social and political subjects, educational conversations and actions for various directions. Four teachers of department are appointed curators of groups on various courses of university which systematically hold the relevant activities.
