“Moot Court on a Civil Case”
The contest within the framework of joint project called “Partnership for the rule of law in Uzbekistan” was held
The contest on “Moot Court on a Civil Case” was held at Tashkent State University of Law with participation of students of TSUL within the framework of joint project called “Partnership for the rule of law in Uzbekistan” of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The first stage of contest began on November 20, 2018, and 8 teams (38 students) presented the appropriate procedural documents for participation in the contest.
The organizers of the contest considered the works submitted by the teams: “Kalqon”, “Adolat”, “Consensus” and “Progress” adequate to participate in the semi-final of the contest.
The semi-final and final round of the competition took place on December 14, 2018.
The judges of Shaykhantakhur interdistrict court on civil cases – Sh.Nazarov and S.Safoyeva, the chairman of Yangiyul district court on administrative court – N.Javliyev, and barristers B.Xamrakulov and D.Bedilova took part in the moot court as judges.
A.Juraeva and J.Bokiyev – the fourth-year students of TSUL attended as court secretaries in the moot court on a civil case.
According to the results of the semi-final, the jury decided the teams of “Progress” and “Adolat” were qualified for the final stage.
In the final stage, “Progress” took the first place with 84 points and “Adolat” the second place with 78.6 points.
The members of “Progress” team: N.H.Hatamjonov, D.F.Pulatova, I.E.Mahmudov, Sh.M.Subhonov, H.Yuldoshev; the members of “Adolat” team: Sh.Z.Abduxalilov, A.J.Karshiyev, A.A.Esonboev, S.Akhmadova, Z.U. Elmurodov; the members of “Kalkon” team: J.B.Tashev, F.H.Yariyev, A.A.Abdukhalilov, Z.F.Bebutova, M.R.Rasulov and the members of “Consensus”: N.Sh.Dilboboyev, I.F.Zoirova, I.V.Ekinov, Z.Sh.Malikov, M.X.Akhmedova were awarded with ceretificates and prizes.
The jury also awarded the team members who participated in the semifinals in five nominations. “the best verbal presentation” – Z.F.Bebutova, “the best defender of position” – A.A.Abdukhalilov, “the best legal knowledge” – I.F.Zoirova, “the best team leader” – J.B.Tashev, “the best procedural document” – N.Sh.Dilboboyev were awarded with the prizes prepared by the contest organizers.
The conducted civil proceedings served to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of students.
